Gundlupete: In a sugarcane field in Lakkur village, two leopard cubs were found and successfully rescued. They were later handed over to the forest department at Mahadevappa’s farm. The discovery was made by laborers during the sugarcane harvesting process.
Subsequently, forest department officials placed the rescued cubs back at the location where they were originally found, anticipating the return of their mother leopard.
