Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal activists discovered illegal beef transportation in a rickshaw and handed over both the accused individuals and the meat to Urwa police near Chilimbi. The incident took place in the morning as beef was being transported from Jokatte to city beef stalls using a rickshaw.

Around 6 am in Chilimbi, Bajrang Dal activists intercepted the rickshaw, leading to the apprehension of the accused. The rickshaw was carrying approximately 2.50 quintals of meat from five cows.

The beef belonged to Badru of Jokatte and was being transported by Dawood in the rickshaw to Yasin, a meat shop owner in the market. In a video, the accused confessed that this method of transportation had been ongoing for the past two months.

Urwa police promptly arrived at the scene, took custody of the accused and the confiscated meat, and filed a case. The accused is currently undergoing interrogation.
