Bengaluru: The Election Commission of India (ECI) officials visited different parts of State from Tuesday February 7 to Thursday February 9 to review preparations for the Assembly elections scheduled to be held in April/May.
The team was led by Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadoo. He along with State Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena and team visited Yadgir District to inspect Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) .
A meeting with officials from the Kalaburgi Division was also held.
ECI Director Shubhra Saxena and Secretary B. C. Patra visited Chamarajnagara.
The ECI officials also discussed on identifying the polling booths that have had registered a low voter turnout in the State and why low turnout during the last Assembly polls.
