Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday February 6 urged investors to enhance their presence in the country’s fossil fuel exploration, stressing that 10 lakh square kilometres of no-go zone had been freed for exploration.

He was addressing during the India Energy Week opening ceremony in the City.

He emphasised domestic fuel exploration and an increase in production of such fuels as one of the four verticals of the country’s energy sector and stated that exploration in inaccessible places was required.

“No go areas in the country are reduced based on investor sentiment. 10 lakh square kms of area is rid of no-go restrictions,” he said.
