Bidar: A couple from Kotagyal Village, who had been living separately for eight years, came together in a Lok Adalat held at a court here.

Rajendrababu Sopana (40) and Pooja Rajendrababu (35) of Kotagyala Village in Kamalanagar Taluk are the couple.

They have two sons, aged 12 and 10. The couple had been separated for eight years due to various reasons.

“My wife Pooja has been living in her hometown, Handikera, leaving me for seven years. So get me a divorce from her,” Rajendra had said in a petition filed in a court here last year.

The case was settled through reconciliation in the presence of Senior Civil Judge Ravibabu Chavan at the Lok Adalat. The couple agreed to get together and exchanged garlands.
