Bidar: Former Minister, Deputy Leader of JD (S) Legislature Party, Chairman of JD (S) Core Committee and MLA from Bidar South Assembly Constituency Bandeppa Kashempura visited Ranjolkheni Village in the Constituency, toured the village, received the grievances of the villagers and distributed title deeds to the houses of Karanja victims.

MLA Bandeppa Kashempura, who arrived at Ranjolkheni Village on the morning of Thursday February 9, first garlanded the statue of Madiwala Machidevara, Bommagondeshwara nameplate and Basaveshwara Circle on the outskirts of the Village. The MLA was greeted by the villagers by bursting crackers.

Later, he inaugurated the distribution of title deeds for rehabilitation centre 1 and 2 of Ranjolkheni village, which is partially submerged in the Karanja Irrigation Project organised by The Karnataka Irrigation Limited at the Gram Panchayat office of the Village.

“I have always raised my voice on behalf of the victims of Karanja, he said. “Whenever I get an opportunity, I have demanded justice for Karanja victims in the house. No one from the Government has gone to the protest site for the last several months and received the request.

Former CM Kumaraswamy said, “We have visited and received the request. I have appealed to the Chief Minister several times on the same issue,” he said.

The technical issues in issuing title deeds to Karanja victims should be resolved immediately. A joint committee headed by the concerned Gram Panchayat Development Officer, Village Accounts Officer, Revenue Inspector, Officials of Karanja Irrigation Corporation and officials of all concerned departments should be constituted to find a solution immediately. MLA Bandeppa Kashempura told the Tahasildar to be present on the spot to provide a fair compensation to all.
