Chamarajanagara: Female elephant electrocuted in farm house | Azad Times

Chamarajanagara: In a tragic incident, a female elephant was electrocuted near Nagapattinam near Baragi in Omkara Forest Range under Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary Limits in the Taluk.

The incident took place on a farm owned by One Puthanapura Raju, who was on its way to Raju’s farm in search of fodder when it got hit by a wire fence installed in the field.

Acting on a tip-off, Forest Department officials rushed to the spot, inspected the site and then summoned Wasim Mirza, Veterinary Officer of the Forest Department, for treatment.
