Chamarajanagara: ‘Priority to be given to individual works in MNREGA’ | Azad Times

Chamarajanagara: The new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Poovitha has instructed the officials to create more man days under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme and give top priority to individual works.

She visited various Gram Panchayats in the Taluk and said that more works should be taken up under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme. “Water scarcity in villages should be addressed. Children should be registered in libraries,” she said.

She also inspected the school building ahead of the Assembly elections and instructed the officials to repair the building which is in a bad shape.

On the occasion of Shivaratri Jatra Mahotsava, drinking water should be provided to the devotees at Male Mahadeshwara Hill. The padayatra devotees coming to the hill should ensure cleanliness at the place where they eat, she said.
