Chikkamagaluru: MLA C. T. Ravi said, “I am not the one who works on the basis of caste. He has appealed to the voters to give credit to those who have done development work irrespective of party affiliations and caste.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the development work for Tipu Nagar Ward at a cost of Rs. 90 Lakh, he said that a special grant of Rs. 70 Crore has been brought for the development of Chikkamagaluru City and basic amenities including roads, and drains have been provided in all the wards of the City and a super speciality hospital and medical college are being constructed near Thegur Road at a cost of Rs. 630 Crore.
“The inauguration of the first work will be completed in May. Kadur, Chikkamagaluru road works are nearing completion and the tender process for Chikkamagaluru, Belur and Hassan four-way road works has begun, he said and added that the work on the Chikkamagalur-Hassan railway project is in the initial stages.
He said the light airport has been sanctioned to the District at a cost of Rs. 75 Crore where three helicopters will be stationed simultaneously, a new University and a textile park will be constructed so that many people in the District will get employment.
