Chikkamagaluru: Sambar deer victim to bullet wound at Charmadi Ghat | Azad Times

Chikkamagaluru: The carcass of a Sambar Deer aged about three years was found on the wayside near Malayamarutha on Charmadi Ghat on Wednesday February 8.

The carcass of the deer with bullet wounds suspected to be shot dead by unidentified miscreants was found in a stormwater drain on the side of the Highway on Charmadi Ghat. The commuters on the Ghat noticed the carcass and informed the Kottigehara Forest Check Post.

The Forest Officials have visited the spot and it is said that bullet wounds were found on the abdomen, ear, and regions of the deer.
