Davanagere: Fire breaks out in wood industry | Azad Times

Davanagere: Furniture worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in a fire that broke out in Karur Industrial Area late on the night of Thursday March 30.

The fire broke out at Shinewood Industry in Karur Industrial Area. There was no one because it was night time.

The fire broke out accidentally and firewood equipment worth lakhs of rupees was gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. It is said that all kinds of tools related to the manufacture of wooden tools were stored there.

According to industries owners, more than Rs. 32 Lakh have been damaged in the fire. Police from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and fire brigade officials and staff rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
