Dharawad: Joshi condoles death of Charukeerthi Battaraka Swamiji | Azad Times

Dharawad: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has condoled the passing away of Jagadguru Swasti Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Mahaswamiji of Sri Kshetra Shravanabelagola.

Joshi recalled that he had established the National Institute of Prakrit Studies and Research. He noted that the Seer revived the Prakrit language through which he had instituted Prakrit Jnanabharathi Award for scholars, Sri Gommateshwara Vidyapeetha Award for Jain literature and culture, and Chavundaraya Award for service to Kannada Jain Sahitya.

Aprat from these, he set up Endowment Fund at Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
