Dharawad: Petition filed for banning cow slaughter, appropriate action | Azad Times

Dharawad: Bajrang Dal Office-bearers have submitted a memorandum to Police Commissioner Raman Gupta demanding immediate action against the illegal slaughter of cows at a slaughter house near a canal in Altaf Plot in Old Hubballi here.

The petition led by Dharawad Division Convenor Shivanand Sattigeri, said, “We have information that illegal slaughter of cows is taking place in slaughter houses and children are also involved in it. More than 30 cows should be protected and action should be taken against those concerned under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act.”

“Disciplinary action should be taken against the Inspector of Kasaba Police Station for not taking action in this regard. Otherwise, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists will attack the slaughter house,” it has been stated in the memorandum.
