Dharawad: Protests in Hubballi over Former CM’s remarks | Azad Times

Hubballi: Vishwa Vipra Seva Trust took to the streets to protest against Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s statement that Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is either a Peshwa or Brahmin of Maharashtra is an insult to the entire Brahmin community.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is a Brahmin, and the contribution of Brahmins to the Country’s freedom struggle is immense. Jhansi Rani Laxmibai, Chandrashekhar Azad, Mangal Pandey, Madan Lal Dhingra, Veer Savarkar and many other Brahmins have dedicated their lives, the protesters said.

“But Former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has insulted all this,” they alleged. They all demanded an apology from Kumaraswamy.
