Dharwad: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said “Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is contesting from Varuna instead of Kolar Constituency. He said that there is a situation created where he is not able to get a seat anywhere.

Speaking to mediapersons at Uppina Bettageri Village in the Taluk, he said that people should understand the situation of the party when Siddaramaiah is not able to get the seat.

Reacting to C. T. Ravi’s remarks on Lingayats, he said, “There is a video of Ravi purportedly speaking about Lingayats and also already there has been a fact check about it. The Congress is leaving such a false video and trying to fool the people. In many media it has come as fake. The discussion about it is unnecessary. Because C. T. Ravi is a mature politician. He is the National General Secretary of our party, he cannot say this at all. We have respect for all communities, he said and added that he has respect for Lingayats and Basavanna in particular.
