Hassan: A leopard, which was captured in Mysuru, was stopped by the villagers of Bisale Forest Range in Sakleshpura Taluk of the District when it was brought in a cage to release it in Bisale Ghat limits. Finally, the authorities gave in to the anger of the people and took the leopard back.

The Forest Department personnel, who had captured a one-and-a-half-year-old female leopard in Mysuru for attacking people, tried to release it back into the forest in Bisale Forest Range of Sakleshpura Taluk. They tried to put the leopard in a cage and let it go.

However, locals reached the spot overnight and got into an argument with the Forest Department Officials. They insisted that the leopard should not be left in this forest range for any reason.

The Forest Department Officials, who faced the wrath of the people, had to go back without any results for their efforts to release the leopard.
