Kalaburagi: Former Minister Revunayaka Belamagi alleged, “Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has the thinking of Basavanna. I thought he would give justice to all and give equality. But he has become a deceitful CM like others,” he said.

He was addressing a public meeting of the Prajadhvani programme organised by the Congress in Chittapur Town on Wednesday February 8. “The drama of giving title deeds to the families of the Banjara Community living in the Tandas was recently staged by the BJP in Sedam Town. Our Lambani people have been living in Tandas for hundreds of years. They own their ancestral property. It is ridiculous that such a community has been given a title deed through Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

“It is a great drama that they have distributed title deeds to their own houses,” he said.

“The BJP is misleading the people of Banjara with an eye on elections. He further said, “When I became an MLA and a Minister, I gave good governance. I didn’t do corruption, didn’t ask for commission, didn’t cheat people, and didn’t lie. However, BJP leaders cheated me by cutting the ticket,” Belamagi said, adding that Dr. Mallikarjun Kharge had helped the youth of the region to get jobs and higher education by enacting Article 371 (J) in the Kalyana Karnataka region. He added it would take a day to tell about Kharge’s contribution.
