Kasaragod: Sexual assault of minor, RI to 60-year-old | Azad Times

Kasaragod: A 60-year-old man was sentenced to 88 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl on multiple occasions.

A Kasaragod court found the accused Muhammed alias Elsur Muhammed from Delampady guilty of all four charges against him. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 7 Lakh on the convict.

The accused, who worked as a daily wage labourer allegedly sexually assaulted her at rubber plantation.

Two cases were filed against Muhammed at the Adoor Police Station under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, 2012.
