Kodagu: Boy dies in tiger attack in District | Azad Times

Kodagu: The boy was killed after being attacked by a tiger at Palleri near Kutta in Ponnampete Taluk of the District.

Chetan (12), a native of Panchavalli in Periyapattana Taluk, who had come to work at the house of Neleera Ponnacha in Churikkad Village, was attacked by the tiger when he was inside the garden.

The boy died on the spot. This is an incident of a tiger attack on human beings afterba long time.

Forest Department Officials rushed to the spot. Forest officials said the body will be kept in an elephant trench in the Forest and will be subjected to postmortem at Kutta mortuary.
