Man slips into Netravati River, dies | Azad Times

Mangaluru: Prakash Gatti (46), a resident of Baithar in Harekala, died after he slipped and fell into Netravati River.

Prakash had invited his friends and relatives to his house for the annual jatra festival, which was being held at Kodamanithaya Daivasthanam near Irukottu in Harekala here.

Prakash had gone to the banks of Netravati River near his farm with his relatives and friends. There a bamboo was placed across the river water.

While walking in it, he accidentally slipped and fell and was buried in the river silt. Despite being skilled at swimming, he could not come up and drowned in the river water.
