Mangaluru: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik has lauded Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for presenting a good Budget that will be inclusive for all in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aspirations in the ‘Amrit Kal’ of the country.

The increase in zero interest rate loans given through cooperative banks up to Rs. 5 Lakh has greatly benefited the farmers. The Government’s concern for farmers is that 56 lakh small and marginal farmer families have been insured, he said.

“Free bus pass for girl students and Rs. 500 subsidy for women workers, housing facility for 10,000 homeless fishermen, and supply of diesel to fishing boats are the good part of the Budget,” he said.

“Rs. 378 Crore has been invested to Paschimavahini in the second phase. He said the work would benefit the coastal regions,” he added.
