Mangaluru: “Mayor Jayananda Anchan said that the Thumbay Vented Dam has been storing 6 metres of water for the past few months and the people of Mangaluru will not face any problem of drinking water for the next two months,” he said.

He offered prayers to Goddess Ganga near Thumbay Vented Dam on the afternoon of Wednesday February 8 and later visited the dam and addressed a gathering and said Mangaluru is one place in the State where there is no scarcity of water. He said the River Netravati was completely filled with water as the monsoon had started early after which it was reduced in May last year.

Chief Whip Premananda Shetty said that the inflow should be complete throughout the summer and the Thumbay Vented Dam should be full so that the people across the City do not face any water problem in the coming summer season.
