Mangaluru: Girls consume poison, admitted to hospital | Azad Times

Mangaluru: More than 100 girl students have been admitted to various hospitals in the City, including KMC and City Hospital, after consuming poison at the City Nursing Hostel of a Private Hospital in Shakthinagara here. The condition of some people is said to be critical.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar, DCPs and other senior officials had visited the spot to interrogate the girl students.

The reason for consuming poison is yet to be ascertained and the police have launched an investigation with various experts pressed into the matter.
