Mangaluru: Government, Private land gutted in fire | Azad Times

Mangaluru: A fire broke out in more than 10 acres of Government and private land near Nisargadhama at Onthikatte Kadalakere here. The fire that started burning around Nelligudde, and Kadlagudde area around Kadalakere Fire Brigade Office and Dormitory.

There is smoke near Saalumarada Thimmakka Park, and Kadalakere Industrial Area in Nisargadhama. The power supply to the fire brigade quarters has been disconnected. As the Government land is covered with a forested area, it is difficult for the fire engine to go in and douse the fire and the lack of personnel in the Fire Brigade is also making it difficult to douse the fire.

Municipal Standing Committee Chairman Nagaraj Poojary, and Kambala Runner Ritesh and youth from Onthikatte helped in extinguishing fire and arranging water.
