Mangaluru: Jyothiraj, popularly known as Kothiraju climbed the Gadayikallu in Belthangady of the District on February 12 within just two hours. Thus he became the first person to climb Gadayikallu, the name in which Jamalabad Fort popularly known as.

Before beginning to climb the fort, Raj performed pooja at Chandkur Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple on the morning of Sunday February 12. Raj who began climbing at around 9.30 am reached the top at 11.30 am.

He was seen elated as he unfurled the Karnataka Flag at the top. His team too were seen cheering for him.
