Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a huge tree fell on a house at Kerpada Pallathadka in Sullia Taluk of District late last night, injuring a group of occupants.

A tree fell on the house of Ramesh, President of Mogerkala Seva Samiti at Kerpada Pallathadka, at night, injuring those sleeping in the house.

As a result of the tree falling, the roof of the house fell on the head of the occupants who as a result sustained injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Kaniyur.

It is said that the tiles of the house were of traditional wooden type and it got broken, resulting in huge loss.
