Mangaluru: Sullia Police and Activists of a Hindu organisation raided a brothel on the evening of Wednesday March 15 during which two young girls and a room boy were taken into custody.

According to sources in the know, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal Activists in Sullia City along with the police had conducted a lightning strike at a lodge following a tip-off that a prostitution racket was going on in the lodge. Meanwhile, two young girls aged between 22 and 23 and a room boy have been taken into custody. Two agents are said to be absconding during the raid.

The two arrested are said to be in the custody of Sullia Police. It is said that attempts were being made to carry out prostitution using young women from Puttur and Kadaba.
