Mysuru: Forest Officials catch leopard | Azad Times

Mysuru: A three-year-old male leopard was captured on the outskirts of Shyadanahalli Village behind RBI in the City on Monday February 6. Leopards were often seen in the outskirts of Shyadanahalli.

In this background, the officials of the Forest Department had placed a cage in the farm. The leopard, which came in search of food, was caught in the cage on the night of Sunday February 5, and the locals informed the Forest Department. Forest Department RFO K. Surendra and the staff immediately reached the spot and decided to release the captive leopard into the forest.

People were scared after seeing a video of a leopard crossing the road in Mysuru City three days ago. A leopard was spotted near the Urukateshwari Temple in R. T. Nagara, Mysuru. At night, the leopard crossed the road from behind a hillock on the side of the road. This scene was captured on the mobile phone of a resident who was travelling on the road.
