Mysuru: Leader of The Opposition Siddaramaiah, who said that he is contesting the last election from his native place Varuna, has said that he will contest from Kolar as well.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said, “There is a lot of pressure from the people of Kolar that I should contest from Kolar Constituency this time. But this time, I will contest from two constituencies including my hometown Varuna. I became the Chief Minister when I won from Varuna Constituency. There is no one Constituency that is lucky. Varuna is my native place and Varuna Constituency is called as Varuna Hobli,” he said.

“The Congress was not opposed to reservation. The Congress had earlier favoured internal reservation. The BJP remained silent for three-and-a-half years and has now made the announcement. However, the decision should have been taken after taking everyone into confidence,” he said.
