Mysuru: A farmer jumped off his bike and saved his life after being attacked by a lone tusker near Nagapura-II on the outskirts of Nagarahole Park.

Beeregowda, a farmer from Bharatavadi Village near Nagarahole main road, escaped the attack. The bike was damaged in the attack.

He was returning home after watering a ginger field in nearby Penjahalli when the tusker suddenly chased Beeregowda’s bike near Nagapura-II. Being alert, he jumped off his bike and ran into the hamlet and saved his life. Enraged by this, the tusker lifted the bike from its trunk and threw it away, trampled it and damaged it.
