Udupi: The disrespect towards religion has reached an extreme level. Some political individuals are asserting that Sanatan Dharma poses a threat and is a severe ailment for the nation. Palimaru Seer Vidyadheesha Theertha Sripada described it as a political calamity.
The assertion that Sanatan Dharma is detrimental to the country is quite perplexing. Why specifically mention “Sanatan” when they could have simply referred to Hinduism as harmful? The implication here is that religion as a whole is considered dangerous. The individual making such statements appears to be anxious, possibly fearing for their position and authority. Consequently, they resort to denigrating religion by singling out “Sanatan.”
Individuals who speak about Sanatan Dharma often visit temples, yet they make statements that can misguide people. He urged everyone to raise their voices in protest against these political figures who have insulted Sanatan Dharma.
