Ramanagara: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar and Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar held discussions for sometime on the issue of medical college sanctioned for Kanakapura.
Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed mother-child hi-tech hospital by Infosys next to the Taluk Office here, Sudhakar said, “The MPs are saying that our medical college has been taken away. I never asked for a college to be sanctioned for Kanakapura. It was first given to Chikkaballapur in Siddaramaiah’s Budget. But the grant had not come. So Yediyurappa has only released the funds, he said.
He added that he would discuss with the Chief Minister and sanction a medical college for the Taluk soon.
