Shivamogga: Boy drowns in River Tunga | Azad Times

Shivamogga: A class 9 student, who had gone for a swim in the river with his friends, drowned in the waters of the Tunga river.

Yusuf, a 14-year-old youth, had gone for a swim in the river with three friends and drowned. Yusuf’s friends immediately informed the SDPI activists and started searching for him.

A search was then launched with the help of Fire Brigade and locals. The Instagram account of his mobile phone was opened and his name was identified as Yusuf. A search was conducted for about one-and-a-half hours after which his body was found.

He was immediately taken to McGANN Teaching District Hospital. Doctors confirmed his death. The boy’s body has been sent for postmortem.
