Shivamoga: A youth from Holalur was duped of Rs. 72,000 on the pretext of getting a job at the airport here.

A case of cheating has come to light and a case has been registered in this regard.

The youth had uploaded his information on the Airport Authority application.

On the afternoon of February 2, a woman named Monika called and told him that he had been appointed as a ground staff at Shivamogga airport and that he had to pay Rs. 72,900 through PhonePe in a phased manner.

It is alleged that she cheated him later.
