Udupi: A 17-feet-long King Cobra was captured by snake lover Anil Prabhu late night on Tuesday March 14 straying around of Durga Village.

For the past few days, the villagers had urged the Forest Department Official to capture the cobra found in the same locality. Around 10.00 pm on Tuesday cobra was found, adding to the fear among the villagers.

Due to the lack of proper arrangements to capture the reptile, Anil Prabhu, a reptile lover, reached the spot at the request of the villagers and captured the King Cobra at around 11.00 pm. They went to Kudremukh Sanctuary and freed the captured King Cobra.
