Udupi: Udupi District has received less than usual rainfall in the months of April, May and June, due to which there is a problem of drinking water in Udupi city and rural areas of the district, said DC Kurma Rao.

We are supplying water to the urban areas by pumping from Baje Dam which supplies water to Udupi city. Even so, if there is a water problem, please contact our helpline number 1077, he said.

Dredging, cleaning and other works of water bodies have been done according to the priority of the District Administration. However, there is a water problem in some rural areas and urban areas, he said.

Water is being supplied to these areas through tankers, he said.
