Udupi: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council B. K. Hariprasad said that while the Congress party is following the spirit of the Constitution and working without caste, religion and language, the BJP is doing religion-based politics for the sake of power. He further said that the people should answer to the Government in the upcoming elections as nothing has happened despite rampant corruption in the recruitment of police and teachers.

He was addressing the Congress Prajadhvani Sammelan held near Shastri Circle in Kundapur on the evening of Wednesday February 8. “Those in power have not yet done the work of fulfilling the demand of Kundapur – Gangolli Bridge. This demand will be fulfilled if the Congress wins the upcoming elections,” he noted.

He assured that a separate authority would be set up for the development of Kundagannada language and work would be done to facilitate the study.
