Udupi: Power, Kannada and Culture Minister Sunil Kumar alleged that the Congress and the JD(S) have not held any elections on the basis of the development of the society. They have been trying to divide the society in all elections on the basis of caste.

He was speaking to the media after reviewing the preparations for the State-level Yakshagana conference to be held on February 11 and 12 at Udupi MGM College grounds.

He said that H.D. Kumaraswamy has indirectly agreed that BJP government will come to power in Karnataka.

The party will decide who will be the Chief Minister after the BJP government comes to power.

Kumaraswamy should not speak ill in the name of Brahmins or any caste. A person who is qualified becomes the Chief Minister.

Only in JD(S) Chief Minister will be choosen on the basis of caste and family. In the BJP, caste is not on the basis of family, but a person who has party loyalty and experience will become the Chief Minister,” he said.
