Udupi: Huge demand for tender coconut in the coast | Azad Times

Udupi: The coastal region is sweltering due to the scorching heat. For the past few days, the temperature in Byndoor and Kundapur is increasing day by day.

There has been a huge demand for siyala (tender coconut) in the market as people have turned to consuming it to quench their thirst due to heat. Of course, the price has also increased.

The tender coconut which was available for Rs. 30 in the month of April, has jumped in price in the month of May and is being traded at Rs. 35 to 40.

A situation where one can’t find tender coconut in the market has risen.
