Udupi: Pickup-bike collision, biker died | Azad Times

Udupi: A biker was killed when a pick-up vehicle hit him near Ganapanakatte in Moodubelle on the morning of Thursday February 9.

The deceased has been identified as Harish Naik (36), a resident of Kuntadi Kalya Redgudde.

Harish Naik, who was working as a night shift fitter in a company in Udupi, was on his way home on his newly purchased motorbike via Moodubelle – Kattingeri in the wee hours when he was hit by a pick-up vehicle coming from Kattingeri side towards Moodubelle when he reached Ganapanakatte.

He sustained serious head and leg injuries in the collision and was rushed to KMC Hospital in Manipal for treatment and doctors who examined him said he was declared brought dead.

A case has been registered at Shirva Police Station on the complaint of the deceased’s father.
