Udupi: State-level Samagra Yakshagana Sammelana on Feb 11, 12 | Azad Times

Udupi: The State-level Samagra Yakshagana Sammelana will be held in Udupi on February 11 and 12 at MGM College grounds.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate the programme at 10.30 am.

Speaking at press conference MLA Raghupathi Bhat who is also the Chairman of the Conference Reception Committee said Malpe Sankaranarayana Samaga Main Stage, Keremane Shivarama Hegde Vedike and Alike Ramayya Rai Vedike are being constructed for the Sammelana.

On the first day, Hookolu Tenkuthittu Yakshagana by Dubai artistes, Badagu Thittu Yakshagana by children, interaction with Sammelana President, Yakshagana by women along with challenge of Yakshagana education, Yakshagana Kannada identity, Talamaddale and many more programmes will be organised, he informed.

On the second day, Yakshagana and Indian thought, Women Yakshagana thought, Moodalapaya Swaroopa creation, Yakshagana broadcast and experimentation as well as Yakshagana performance by various artistes will be held, he added.

Writer Rohit Chakratheertha will inaugurate the sessions and deliver the keynote address, he said.
