Vijayapura: Staying clear from giving straight answer whether he will welcome or oppose any development where the BJP leaders who quit the Congress in the past wish to join the Congress again, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Working President Satish Jarakiholi has said that the decision on inducting such leaders is left to the discretion of the Party High Command.

Addressing mediapersons before attending a private programme on Tuesday January 31 he said that any leader of the Congress may have their own view about the matter. “But ultimately the State Leaders and the Central Leaders of the party will take the final decision whether to induct or not,” he said.

It may be noted that during his recent visit, Former Minister and Veteran Congress Leader, Basavaraj Rayareddy had openly declared that he will oppose any move the party made to re-induct those defectors. He said that since those defectors have ditched the party for the same power, they should never be taken into the party again. He said that he will convey his view in the party forum also.

To a question on the mediapersons that whether he is planning to contest from any other constituency and not his traditional Yamakanamardi, Jarakiholi put an end to the speculation by declaring that he will not contest from any other constituency.

“There is no question of switching over to any other constituency and I will contest from my present Constituency itself,” he said.

With regard to the allegations of Former Minister and BJP MLA Ramesh Jarakiholi that Congress Leaders such as D. K. Shivakumar himself has controversial CDs of prominent Congress Leaders, he said that he has nothing much to say about it as the matter is between Shivakumar and Ramesh Jarakiholi.
