Chamrajanagara: An extraordinary discovery has been made within the confines of the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary in this district – a white deer that has sparked the intrigue of tourists. Wildlife expert Sanjay Gubbi and his team, currently engaged in leopard research, utilized a camera trap to capture an image of this unique white female deer.
The Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, a habitat for diverse wildlife, extends into the Ramanagara district. Remarkably, this marks the inaugural sighting of a white deer in this particular forest area. It’s worth noting that Gubbi’s team had previously recorded the presence of a white deer in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in 2014.
